We’re thrilled to share that Slipstream, sailing under the Sunny Side Sailing banner, has finished second overall and second in the two-handed category in this year’s Cornish Offshore Group (COGS) Coastal Series.

From light-air battles to full-on sends, the 2025 season delivered the full range of coastal racing conditions — and we’ve loved every minute of it. Whether double-handed or with a full crew, every race brought fresh challenges, tactical dilemmas, and the kind of camaraderie that reminds us why we sail.

Slipstream has sailed with some truly awesome people on board this year — old friends, new faces, students, racers, instructors, and plenty who are a bit of all of the above. Each brought their own energy, skill, and good humour aboard. That sense of shared adventure has defined our 2025 series.

There are so many memories: a perfect spinnaker reach down the coast at sunset; reefing under pressure in a fair few full-on squalls; the quiet focus of a two-handed light wind epic; the brews, beers, and stories after every race, no matter how wet or weary we were. Through it all, Slipstream performed briliantly, and we were proud to fly the Sunny Side flag from start to finish.

A huge thank you to the Cornish Offshore Group sailing community — the race organisers, volunteers, clubs, and crews that make this circuit so special. It’s friendly, competitive, well-run, and full of people who care deeply about good sailing and good company.
